Portrait paintings

Portrait Painting started in March of 2020 as the COVID 19 pandemic was hitting the US. All members of my immediate family are high risk for COVID and have been mostly confined to home since last March. Portraits are a form of expression that can be poignant, amusing, telling and memorable. Significant in my motivation is the thought of leaving some history/memories behind for our daughters.

Why subscribe?

I moved to Substack from Facebook because I no longer want to post on Facebook, their algorithms have contributed to the spread of disinformation and hate, white supremacy and tendency to oligarchy. I find Substack to be great for posting without any push algorithms.

On Substack the base subscription is free — just avoid selecting the $$ options. Base subscription gets full access to the paintings and website, and new posts appear in your email. Only my paintings are posted on this site.
